London

London For a 12 Hour Layover? This city is so convenient to access from the airport and has an endless itinerary. London offers a very special beauty- from beautiful buildings, bridges, parks, etc. to the people and culture. Hop on the tube at the Heathrow Airport, and you’re in the city before you know it.

Here is a list of things to check out during a layover. While you will not be able to accomplish all of them, check a few off each time. I suggest mapping out their locations before hand 🙂 Also, I personally hopped on a double decker and it was a great way to hop on/hop off all day in the city.  Make sure you allow enough time to take the tube back to the airport/get through security— you can get lost in lust in this city ❤

Visit….image

  • Big Ben
  • Drive over the Tower Bridge (this is when the double deckers come in handy)
  • Ride the Ferris Wheel (The London Eye)
  • Buckingham Palace
  • Westminster Abbey
  • Have pastries at a cafe
  • Have fish n chips and a beer at a pub
  • Abbey Rode (Beatles)
  • Spend some time at the British Museum
  • Go through the London Dungeon
  • Visit the Natural History Museum
  • Tower of London
  • Old Spitalfields Markets (can find the market off the Liverpool St., Aldgate or Aldgate East tube stops)
  • Shakespeare’s Globe
  • The Harry Potter train Station (Sadly, it was not all that great)
  • Shoppping, shopping and shopping! Did someone say Harrods!?!

There is SO much more to do in London and England for that matter, but this is a great start for layovers!image
