Fruit & Veggie Wash

I love my fruit & veggie spray!

1 c h20, 1 c white vinegar, 1 tbsp baking soda, the juice of a lemon.

I put my solution in an old spray bottle and keep it in the fridge. Every time I bring fruit and veggies home, I put them in the colander and spray them down. I let the spray sit for about 5 minutes and then wash them off. I let the fruit/veggies drip dry for a bit before putting them away. Fruit & veggie sprays with vinegar not only help rinse off germs and potential dirt, chemicals, etc., but they also help kill mold spores, preventing the veggie/fruit from molding as quickly.

Window Cleaner / Counter Spray

Alright- tip learned from a professional cleaning lady. The best window cleaner? 2 C H20, 1/4 c . White vinegar, 1/4 c rubbing alcohol, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp corn starch & 5 drops essential oil of your choice (Optional) . No streaking, clean windows, No chemicals. I’ll take it.

Counter Spray? 2 c H20, 1/4 c white Vinegar, 1 tsp lemon juice, 6 drops essential oil of your choice.  I keep 2 spray bottles on hand at all times (You can pick up new spray bottles or find old spray bottles around the house…..yay, up-cycling!) I personally really like the Honest Company Spray Bottles and then I re-label them with sharpies & blank white stickers.

Another quick “Pick me up” is to put a few drops of either an essential oil on your counter and rub it around with a tea towel, or put a few drops of Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soup (I use Peppermint in the kitchen) in the sink and sponge it around.
